We depart from our location in Miraflores, heading south exclusively along bike lanes.
Our first stop is Kennedy Park, also known as the Cat Park.
Next, we'll visit Lover's Park, the most romantic spot in Lima, where we'll admire the iconic El Beso sculpture by Peruvian artist Víctor Delfín. This park resembles Park Güell in Barcelona due to the shared artistic style between Delfín and his Spanish counterpart.
We'll continue along the Malecón of Miraflores, passing by Larcomar, the second most visited place in Peru after Machu Picchu. This shopping center is ideal for dining and offers a variety of renowned restaurants and cafés with stunning views of the Pacific Ocean.
Our route then leads to the Barranco Viewpoint on Saenz Peña Street, where we'll take in the breathtaking view of Lima's bay, San Lorenzo Island, and El Frontón. Here, we'll share the fascinating history that links these islands to Alcatraz in San Francisco, California.
Moving away from the cliffs, we'll explore the charming streets of Barranco, known for its colorful, historic houses dating back to the late 19th century, featuring grand wooden doors and windows. We'll also admire the district's vibrant graffiti art, discovering why Barranco is celebrated as Lima's bohemian and artistic neighborhood.
