Breathtaking Desert Sunset - Huacachina
Itinerary:
9:00 AM - Arrival in Paracas for breakfast. Afterward, we will walk to the "El Chaco" artisan pier, pass the SERNAMP control, and wait for the signal to board our boat towards the Ballestas Islands.
Once aboard, we will embark on a 2-hour marine adventure. We'll begin by stopping at the Candelabra figure on the sand, where the guide will explain various theories about its purpose. Continuing the journey, we'll feel the refreshing sea breeze as we head towards the islands, surrounded by abundant marine life. You'll spot sea lions, Humboldt penguins, and an array of guano birds, and with some luck, you might even see a curious dolphin! Keep your camera ready for this stunning experience.
After the boat tour, we return to the restaurant for a short ceviche cooking class, where you'll learn how to prepare this iconic dish and enjoy tasting it.
We'll then travel 1 hour to Ica and head to the Cultur Pisco restaurant and vineyard, where we will enjoy a delicious lunch, explore the vineyard, and participate in a fun wine and pisco tasting.
Our final stop is the Oasis of Huacachina, where we'll board tubular buggies for a thrilling 2-hour dune ride across the vast desert. We'll stop to take in the breathtaking desert sunset and then try our hand at sandboarding from the highest dunes. After this adrenaline-packed experience, you'll have time to relax, take photos, and shop around the oasis.
6:30 PM - After a day full of excitement, we begin our return to Lima, making a stop along the way for restrooms, leg stretches, and some last-minute shopping.
